According to a clip seen by Citizen Digital, the president, who was accompanied by Kenya’s Ambassador to the United States Meg Whitman, could be seen walking into a meeting room where Altman was among others.
This comes even as the government early this month cancelled the licence issued to Tools for Humanity, the Germany-based global Hardware and Software Company, the entity for which Worldcoin mined data from thousands of Kenyans.
The Parliamentary Ad Hoc committee investigating activities of the tech company on Wednesday grilled Worldcoin Chief Executive Officer Alex Blania who maintained that his firm is not in any way involved in mining data but authenticating that its users are humans.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki this week said a forensic analysis on all WorldCoin gadgets used to collect data from Kenyans was underway.
He said forty-eight Orbs, electronic gadgets and assorted merchandise used in the project were recovered from Tools for Humanity agents.
Meanwhile, President Ruto, who is on an investment tour in the US, also met Apple CEO Tim Cook, Intel's Pat Gelsinger, Google CFO Ruth Porat and executives from Nike, GAP and Levi Strauss.
