Mystery of four men still missing 22 days after being abducted in Mlolongo
The families of four young men, missing for 22 days, are
gripped by fear and uncertainty about their sons' fates.
Steven Mbisi Kavingo, Martin Nyuko Mwau, Kalabi Mwema, and
Justus Mutumwa were abducted in Mlolongo area on December 16 and 17 of last
year.
Despite relentless efforts, their whereabouts remain unknown. Citizen
TV visited their families to uncover the harrowing details of their ordeal.
35-year-old Mbisi’s room remains locked since his
disappearance from Kathangaita area, with neighbors recounting the abduction.
“Kuna majamaa walikuja wanne mmoja amevaa blue mwingine pink
na huyo mwingine alikuwa amevaa red wakamchukua lakini sisi hatuku notice, ilikuwa
kitu ya urgent. Walikuwa majamaa wamevaa kofia na mask sasa hungenotice mtu na
hungeanza kuchukua kamera juu ilikuwa kitu ya haraka haraka, kuna mwenye
alikuja na gari akapark. Kuna wenye walikuwa ready wakiwa huko chini wakakuja
na miguu, dereva akasimamisha gari. sasa venye gari ilisimama wanne wakaingia
ndani wakafunga milango na wakakimbia wakaenda," said a neighbour.
Mbisi had just finished showering, and his wife was in the
bedroom when he encountered four men. She recounted the incident over the
phone.
"On Wednesday 18th ndio alibebwa huyo Steve…wako wanaume
wanne, wote ni marafiki, wote wanafanya biashara," she recalled.
Three of his colleagues, Martin Nyuko Mwau, Kalabi Mwema, and
Justus Mutumwa Musyimi, were abducted a day before Mbisi vanished.
The families of the four are in fear for the whereabouts of
their loved ones.
Despite these families reporting the incidents to the Mlolongo
Police Station and the DCI headquarters in Athi River, the police claim they
have no information on their whereabouts and are investigating the incidents.
