Migori: 23-year-old man beaten to death in suspected love triangle

According to the area chief, Mr Clime Malongo, the deceased, identified as Polycarp Ochola, was in a relationship with the 34-year-old woman.

On that fateful night, he is said to have gone to the woman's house only to be attacked by another man, who is also suspected of being in a relationship with the woman.

According to Mr Malongo, the two men fought over the woman, attracting the attention of neighbours, who also joined the fight.

He claimed that the widow's lover, Polycarp Ochola, was beaten to death by an enraged mob.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased, in a retaliatory attack, torched three houses at the home of the widow.

The area chief also stated that two people suspected of being involved in the young man's death had been arrested.

According to the chief, the incident has caused friction between the widow's family and the decedent's family.

He appealed to the community to give the police time to investigate the matter for the necessary legal action to be taken.
