Kenya leads Africa in 2024 Paris Olympics medals

Kenyan athletes’ sterling performance at
the Olympics has once again earned the country the number one position in the
continent after garnering a total of 11 medals.
Kenya with four gold medals, two silver
medals and five bronze medals was ranked position 17 out of the over 180
nations which participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The performance was an improvement from the
2020 Tokyo Olympics, which was held in 2021, where Kenya ranked 19th after
winning four gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze medals.
China ranked top globally after winning 40
gold medals, 27 silver medals and 24 bronze medals, it was followed by the United
States of America, Japan, Australia and the host France, who closed the top
five performers in the Olympics.
