KCPE and KPSEA exams kick off
Candidates in class eight and those in grade six will today
begin their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary
School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations.
The exercise has already kicked off countrywide as Education
ministry officials and exam supervisors availed themselves at exam collection centres this morning.
President Ruto is expected to oversee the exercise in Kikuyu,
Kiambu County on Monday morning.
Other leaders will also visit various examination centres to
oversee distribution of examination materials.
Education PS Belio Kipsang has assured all candidates that
all is good, to ensure all registered learners sit their exams.
“This is our last KCPE and we will not want any child to be
disadvantaged. We have directed all officers to ensure all children sit for
their exams,” Kipsang said on Monday morning.
The examinations will mark the end of the 8-4-4 education
system in primary schools.
