DP Ruto in Nyandarua as Raila heads to Nyeri, OKA team to Bungoma

It will be a weekend filled with political activity as various political formations head out to rally voters behind them ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Deputy President William Ruto, who will not be attending the 7th Devolution Conference as expected, will be traversing Nyandarua County on Friday as he drums up support for his UDA party and hustler movement.

On the other hand, ODM leader Raila Odinga Friday heads to Nyeri County for two-day tour as he drums up support for his Azimio la Umoja unity call.

Odinga's itinerary indicates that he will begin his tour of Nyeri County with a meeting bringing together about 3,000 elders from all Mt. Kenya counties at Kabiruini grounds. The meeting is scheduled to run from 9am to 1pm.

The ODM leader will then meet close to 1000 youth from six constituencies.

He will then wrap up the day with a dinner session where he will meet with professionals and business people at the Nyeri Golf Club from 6pm to 10pm.

On Saturday, he is expected to meet various Mt. Kenya delegates at Ruring'u stadium before embarking on rallies and stopovers in Nyeri town, Othaya, Mukurweini and Karatina.

At the same time, One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals Musalia Mudavadi and Senator Moses Wetangula will this weekend; Friday and Saturday, lead their team in meet-the-people tours in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia Counties.

On Friday, the OKA team is scheduled to make stopovers in Kwa Dinah, Bukembe, Kanduyi and Bungoma town before heading to Trans Nzoia on Saturday.
