Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki will today, Thursday, return to Kilifi County to oversee the commencement of the postmortem process of another 129 bodies that were exhumed in Shakahola forest.

The bodies were recovered in the second phase of the exhumation exercise which has seen a total of 235 bodies recovered from the forest so far.

The autopsies will be conducted at the Malindi Sub-County Hospital.

The bodies are believed to belong to victims of a cult led by pastor Paul Mackenzie Nthenge, founder of the Good News International Church, who allegedly lured his faithful into starving themselves to death 'to find God'.

Also part of Kindiki's itinerary is to visit the Public Information, Tracing and Social Support Centre at the Edge of Shakahola forest and the Search and Rescue Operation Team within the Forest.

He is then later expected to update the nation on the status of the process.
