Eight killed in Kibra fire incident

At least eight people have been confirmed dead following a devastating fire that broke out early Saturday morning in the Kichinjio area of Makina, within Kibra Sub-county in Nairobi.
The blaze reportedly started at around 5am, engulfing several homes in the densely populated neighbourhood. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
Kibra Sub-county Police Commander Patricia Yegon confirmed the incident, noting that the identities of the victims have yet to be established.
The bodies have been moved to the City Mortuary pending identification and post-mortem examinations.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
