Entertainer Jalang’o, real name Felix Odiwour, has announced that he will soon leave his position as radio co-host of the Kiss FM morning show in a bid to intensify his Lang’ata parliamentary race campaigns.

The comedian and events host, speaking on his own YouTube channel, said he will quit the show that he presently hosts alongside Kamene Goro on February 9, 2022.

“Tarehe tisa February ndio siku yangu ya mwisho, ndio nataka kuingia kwa kiwanja ya campaign,” he said.

“Niko serious kabisa, I don’t go for things that I can’t get, nimepiga research mbaya sana ndio uone nimeamua ni Lang’ata.”

Jalang’o shot down a suggestion by his guest, comedian MCA Tricky, to run for MP in Homa Bay where was bred instead of Nairobi.

According to Jalang’o, he is not well-versed with the problems facing the people of Homa Bay as well as he is those in Lang’ata constituency.

“Hawanijui huko (Homa Bay), halafu sasa unaendaje kusimama mahali ata hujui shida za watu?” He posed to MCA Tricky.

Jalang’o announced earlier this year that he will vie for the Lang’ata MP under the Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.
