Huddah defends 21-year-old girl who was gifted Ksh. 102M by Belgian lover
Through her Instagram stories on Nov 20, the socialite said some men out there give lots of cash to their girlfriends as pocket money unlike Kenyan men who do not even give any pocket money.
“Wanaume wanapatiana pesa mingi huko nje as pocket money. Some, not all. lakini Asset people wamezoea wababa wa Kenya. Do they give pocket moneys? Lol.”
The owner of Huddah Cosmetics continued, "The money should be taxed and given to the 21-year-old girl to keep."
“That 110 M is probably miscellaneous to that person. Considering he is into crypto-currency. And all that good vibes, Tax the girl and let her keep her coins.”
The entreprenuer also added that when she was 21 years, she got a Kshs 7.5Million car gift from her then boyfriend.
"My boyfriend bought me my first car when I was 21," Huddah said.
Meanwhile, the recovery agency believes Felesta's bank account was used as a conduit for money laundering, and they are concerned that if no action is taken to freeze the funds, the account will be emptied.
“There are reasonable grounds to suspect the funds held in the account in the name of the respondent, are illicit funds in which the respondent is involved in a money-laundering scheme, designed to conceal and disguise the nature, source location and movement of the funds,” the affidavit reads.
Senior State Counsel Stephen Githinji insisted that the matter be treated with urgency and Felesta’s account frozen to allow for investigations.
“It is in the interest of justice that preservation orders do issue the Respondent and/or her agents or representatives from dealing in any manner with the aforementioned assets.”
