Fast-rising Kenyan singer Felana over the weekend launched her third single 'Sababisha' at a star-studded event which attracted some of the biggest names in music, politics and business.

Felana, born Felana Marie-Ange, shut down Kentwood Address, along Kiambu Road, as fans packed the swanky nightclub to watch her perform her newest single for the first time, just hours after she had released it on YouTube and across all streaming platforms.

Dressed resplendently in a black sparkly number with gold motif designs, Felana made an uproarious entrance flanked by three beefy security men as she hustled her way through the packed room to the VIP section.

Felana, who shot to fame after releasing the seismic 'Joto', greeted gathered fans, friends and family before hitting the stage to perform a medley of her past hits to a clamorous reception.

The launch attracted some big names across the social spheres as politicians, music legends and business magnates all converged to lend support to the sultry Madagascar-born singer-songwriter.

Jubilee Party grassroots leader Samwel Masaki, business magnate Sam K, legendary P-Unit founding member Gabu, GTC Tower constructor Carlos Tsukutsuku and a slew of online influencers all gathered to grace a night filled with much pomp, color and music.

While speaking at the event, Masaki, who runs the Masaki Foundation, commended Felana on her new song while also promising to help bolster her talent by not just appearing at events but also financially boosting it. He then sent her Ksh. 50k to help push her music.

"My team and I are committed to supporting talent across Kenya. I'm thankful I was invited for this event. I have said it before and I'll continue saying it - we need to move from empty rhetoric and start making actual contributions to the work of Kenyan artists. More than anything, they need financial support and on that note, I am sending you (Felana) fifty thousands shillings to help push your music to the next level," he said to a riotous cheer.

KBC TV's Vivian Ndegwa also kept the crowd enthused as the effortlessly kept the night alight, inviting guest after guest on stage before she invited Felana, flanked by famed videographer Neezo Montana, to perform her hit 'Sababisha'.

Speaking about the event, Felana expressed her excitement at the night, saying that she was glad to have pulled such a crowd given her relative freshness in the industry and also spoke glowingly of her family's support.

"It's such a beautiful feeling to see all these people coming to support my work. It has not been easy. I'm glad that I can be at this stage in my life, making this much noise, after just four months in the game. I'm glad it's all working out so well and so perfectly. I'm also deeply grateful for my parents for their support so far! I couldn't be here without them, really! I cannot wait to see where this takes me next!" she said.

Besides Nairobi, Felana has also had the opportunity to launch the song to fans in Mombasa, Eldoret and Meru. She also plans to tour more towns across Kenya in a bid to keep the name alive and sell her brand more.

"I'm branching out to more towns. This is just the beginning. I am purposing to keep the brand growing and selling the name furthest possible. There's more songs in store too. Now, I'm purely focused on pushing Sababisha and I love the response so far," she said.

In 'Sababisha', Felana moves from away her usual rhythm and tries a more mainstream sound - Amapiano.

The video, which already has over 8k views in just three days in YouTube, was shot by legendary Kenyan videographer Neezo Montana, the brains behind some of the biggest music videos from Kenya's most celebrated stars.
