Dancer Kanda King discharged from hospital after undergoing a hip replacement surgery

The dancer announced his discharge on Facebook on Sunday, along with the news that he will have a second hip replacement.
The acrobatic dancer also shared a video of himself rolling down the stairs in a wheelchair with the help of a medical nurse as proof of his well-being.
“Finally discharged from hospital going home sweet home

sana!!,” wrote King.
Kanda King had on January 7, posted a medical appeal citing injuries to his hip because of his stunts as an acrobatic dancer.
“During my tenure as a dancer, I used my talent including
flexible and acrobatic stunts to entertain people, which unfortunately it came
to my realization years after that I injured my hip,” said King.
The dancer further said that before deciding on hip
replacement, he tried other options such as physiotherapy which failed.
“Flash back 5 years my hip rapidly escalated into extreme
pain prompting me to experiment numerous options from physiotherapy, orthopedic
examinations and medical treatments which were all in vain…,” Write King.
The dancer while seeking for financial assistance from
friends and family, said the total cost of both hip replacements would amount to
Ksh 990,000 which excludes bed and medicine charges.
“Each hip replacement shall cost 495,000, totaling the
amount to 990,000 excluding bed and medicine,"
“I am hereby seeking for donations/contributions of any kind
from well-wishers, friends, relatives to support me to meet the target,” Wrote
Kanda King.
