The Energy Regulatory Commission has once again reduced its maximum pump prices in its mid-month review to reflect on the continued free-fall of crude prices in the international market.

In the announcement made on Monday, petrol and diesel consumers received the highest benefits to the reduced crude prices as a litre of petrol and diesel fall by Ksh.9.53 and Ksh.10 respectively.

Kerosene consumers will likewise get some relief at the pump as the price of a litre of the product reduced by Ksh.3.53.

In Nairobi a litre of super petrol will now sell at Ksh.104.21 while in Mombasa the product will sell at Ksh.101.60.

The price of diesel will fall to Ksh.102.24 in Nairobi and Ksh.99.63 in Mombasa.

Mandera will pay the highest for petroleum with a litre of super-petrol and diesel going for Ksh.117.07 and Ksh.115.10 respectively.

The new pump prices will take effect at midnight on Monday, January 14.
