Kenya is set to host one of East Africa's largest industry gatherings next week as over 150 companies converge in Nairobi for the Kenya Buildcon, Kenya Wood and Kenya SEPL Expo 2026, aimed at boosting growth across the construction, woodworking and renewable energy sectors.
The three co-located exhibitions, organised by Futurex Group
and ETSIPL, were officially launched during a press conference held in Nairobi
on Tuesday ahead of the main event scheduled for June 11-13 at the Sarit Expo
Centre.
Organisers said the exhibitions will provide a platform for
manufacturers, suppliers, developers, architects, contractors, engineers,
investors, policymakers and buyers to connect, exchange knowledge and explore
investment opportunities in the region's rapidly growing built environment
sector.
According to the organisers, the event is expected to
showcase the latest innovations in building materials, construction
technologies, interior design, architecture, project development, woodworking
machinery, furniture manufacturing and sustainable construction practices.
The expo will also feature solutions in electrical systems,
battery storage, renewable energy technologies, solar power, smart
infrastructure and industrial development.
Industry leaders, government representatives, trade
associations and exhibition partners attending the launch highlighted the
significant growth potential within Kenya's construction and energy sectors,
underscoring the role of innovation and sustainability in driving future
development.
The exhibition has received backing from key industry
bodies, including the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kenya
Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, Architectural
Association of Kenya and Kenya Renewable Energy Association. The Kenya Green
Building Society is serving as the sustainability partner for the event.
Sponsors include Sunsynk as the gold sponsor, Sparsh Pearl
as the powered-by sponsor, Megha Marketing EA Ltd and BVM (Solgen Enterprises)
as co-sponsors, while Wasib Solutions Kenya Ltd will sponsor the event
lanyards.
Organisers said entry to the three-day exhibition will be
free for visitors, with more than 125 exhibitors from at least six countries
expected to participate.
The event is expected to strengthen regional collaboration
and support continued investment in East Africa's construction, wood processing
and clean energy industries.
