Uganda: Six dead after bus, trailer head-on collision

Six people died, and several were injured after a Kampala-bound bus collided with a lorry on Monday morning.
The 2am incident occurred at Purongo Town Council in Nwoya district, on the Pakwach-Olwiyo-Karuma highway.
According to the Monitor, the bus was transporting about 67 passengers from Arua to Kampala, while the lorry was destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Monitor said the Nwoya Resident District Commissioner, Mr Christoher Omara, confirmed the deaths, saying the 14 people who were injured were admitted at Anaka General Hospital.
