Six people were killed and scores injured in a road accident at Kondoo area along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred after a lorry rammed into a public service vehicle (PSV) heading to Nakuru while attempting to avoid an oncoming Succeed vehicle.
Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Wilberforce Sicharani confirmed the incident, saying the driver of the PSV was among those who died.
Sicharani said the injured victims were rushed to different health facilities for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary in Eldoret.
He urged motorists to exercise caution while using the roads amid concerns over the rising number of road accidents.
