Two killed, 13 injured in Nakuru-Eldoret Highway accident

Two people died and 13 others were injured on Sunday morning after a 14-seater matatu collided with a lorry at Mau Summit area on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Confirming the incident, Kuresoi North Deputy County Commissioner Felix Wafula said the driver of the matatu was trying to make a u-turn on the road when the vehicle was hit by the lorry from behind.
The injured were rushed to Nakuru County Referral Hospital and Eldama Ravine District Hospital in Baringo County.
The deputy county commissioner noted that a hunt was underway for the driver of the lorry who escaped after the incident.
