The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has dismissed reports claiming that Dr. Nancy Macharia has been replaced as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This comes after Facebook users took to the platform with unconfirmed accounts of Dr. Macharia's alleged dismissal.

One of the posts shared by Ezra Sigei, a social media user, said: "Cheptumo Ayabei the director of finance TSC has been appointed the acting CEO."

TSC, however, disowned the information and urged members of the public to always check their verified pages for accurate news.

"Beware of fake news. Usidanganywe. For accurate information please reach us on our website and social media channels," TSC said in a Facebook post.

Nancy Macharia was appointed the TSC Secretary/CEO, taking over from Gabriel Lengoiboni who retired on June 30th, 2015 after serving for 11 years at the helm of the body.
