Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya announced on Sunday that the county will host the Linda Mwananchi team for a rally on July 25 ahead of Sifuna’s homecoming scheduled for July 26, 2026.

Natembeya said this after a consultative meeting at his residence in Milimani, where he had hosted Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi.

Also present during the meeting was the Member of Parliament for Kabuchai Majimbo Kalasinga, and Bumula MP Jack Wamboka.

“On the 26 we will be in Bungoma for a homecoming. All our tribes will be there and all our Luhya community leaders. Also, all the council of elders and different organizational leaders will be present in Bungoma," said Natembeya.

According to Natembeya, the Linda Mwananchi team have gone to all the western region counties, leaving only Trans Nzoia and Bungoma counties.

Natembeya announced that while Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will focus on national duties in the capital, local leaders will spearhead Sifuna's grassroots mobilization across all 38 constituencies in Western Kenya.

Furthermore, he emphasized a united regional front aimed at fielding a single candidate in the upcoming general elections.

Governor Natembeya called on all their supporters to turn up in large numbers to support them during both events, urging them to also register as voters.
