When the famous UEFA Champions League anthem plays next season, Kenyan-born Timothy Noor Ouma will be among the players stepping onto the pitch.

His club, Slavia Prague, recently won the Czech league, securing a spot in Europe’s biggest and elite football competition.

Timothy’s journey began in Kenya, where he played for Nairobi City Stars after completing his studies at Laiser Hill Academy.

He quickly made a name for himself in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) by scoring goals and showing great skill.

His strong performances earned him a move to Sweden in 2022, where he joined IF Elfsborg and later scored his first goal in the Swedish top league in 2024.

On February 2, 2025, Ouma signed a long-term contract with Slavia Prague until June 2029. However, due to documentation delays, he only made one appearance for the senior team this season, playing 67 minutes.

Now, with Slavia crowned champions, the club is preparing for the Champions League, and Timothy is set to be part of that exciting journey.

At just 20 years old, Timothy has already featured for Kenya’s national team, Harambee Stars, playing in both friendly matches and World Cup qualifiers. He also represented the Kenya U20 team, Junior Stars, during an invitational tournament in Malawi last year.

If all goes well, Timothy will join the ranks of former Kenyan players who have competed in the Champions League, including McDonald Mariga, Victor Wanyama, and Paul Were, all of whom proudly represented Kenya while making their mark on Europe’s top football stage.
