Tears of joy after mother reunited with son who went missing 20 years ago

Peter Mburu who was found receiving treatment at Njoro sub-county hospital got lost when they had visited Kawangware in Nairobi with his mother two decades ago.

According to her mother Joyce Nyambura, they searched for their son in different places including mortuaries until they lost hope.

According to Njoro Deputy Country Commissioner David Mbevi, they found Mburu on the side of a road lying in a trench and they rushed him to hospital.

Mbevi added that they later publicized the news about the unknown man until his family from Limuru came calling and identified him as their kin.

The family has since shifted with Mburu to Limuru claiming they will first attend to his sorry state of health before organizing a ceremony to welcome him back.
