Taita Taveta Woman Rep Lydia Haika on the spot after car hit and killed pedestrian

Police are probing the death of a man who was hit by a car belonging to Taita Taveta Woman Rep Lydia Haika.
The accident occurred at Matunda Stage in Sultan Hamud on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway at around 8pm.
According to Makueni police boss Ole Napeiyan, the middle-aged man died on the spot.
The Woman Rep is said to have been onboard the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Reports further indicate that she and her another woman allegedly fled the scene leaving behind the government car.
The car has been towed to Sultan Amud and the body of the deceased taken to Kilungu Nursing Home.
