Shocking! Reckless driver caught on video knocking down pedestrian at a zebra crossing

In the video shared by Sema Ukweli, a transparency outfit affiliated with activist Boniface Mwangi, someone behind the wheel of the car is seen slowly negotiating a Zebra Crossing bump along Ojijo Road in Nairobi before suddenly increasing their speed and knocking down a man carrying a backpack - still within the confines of the Zebra Crossing.
After knocking down his victim, the driver speeds on, leaving the man on the ground as he struggles to stand up and gain composure.
In the 23-second clip, a moment of confusion quickly ensues as a woman is seen emerging from the front of a Range Rover and reaching out to the man who then quickly brushes her off and walks on.
The man's audacity has left people appalled and in disbelief with many unable to understand just how the driver could drive off so casually and not even take a few seconds to confirm that their victim was alright.
X (formerly Twitter) user @KijanaFlani said, "On a clearly marked Zebra crossing & sped off... was it a stolen vehicle?? If not, People like this don't deserve to drive again ever!"
Many other X users have been tagging various Kenyan road regulation bodies pressuring them to identify the culprit and mete out the necessary punishment to him.
