The former Simba Queens forward completed the move last week, ending a successful four-year spell with the Tanzanian Women's Premier League champions.
Based in Giza, FC Masar are among the leading clubs in Egyptian women's football. The club competes in the Egyptian Women's Premier League and the CAF Women's Champions League, where it has established itself as one of the continent's emerging forces.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, the former Wiyeta Girls forward said the transfer marks an important step in her ambitions of playing at the highest level.
"I'm very happy to join FC Masar. This move is the result of the hard work I put in during my time at Simba. My goal is to make the most of the two-year contract I have signed, continue improving, and hopefully earn even greater opportunities, including a move to Europe. I believe FC Masar will open more doors for me."
Shikangwa also paid tribute to Simba Queens, where she scored 62 goals across four seasons.
"I spent four wonderful seasons at Simba and I'm grateful to the club for giving me a home away from home. I wish everyone at the club the very best and hope they continue building on what we achieved together," recallled Shikangwa.
The prolific striker scored 21 league goals during the 2025/26 season to help Simba Queens retain the Tanzanian Women's Premier League title.
Shikangwa began her football journey at Wiyeta Girls before establishing herself as one of East Africa's most accomplished forwards. She has also featured for Vihiga Queens, Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey and Beijing in China.
On the international stage, she has been a regular for the Harambee Starlets. She finished as the top scorer at the 2019 CECAFA Women's Championship with 10 goals, underlining her reputation as one of Kenya's most clinical attackers.
Despite her impressive record, Shikangwa was omitted from Kenya's squad for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco from 25 July to 16 August.
Formerly known as Tutankhamun FC, FC Masar enjoyed one of the most successful periods in the club's history in 2024, finishing third at the CAF Women's Champions League and earning a nomination for CAF Women's Club of the Year at the CAF Awards.
At Simba Queens, Shikangwa was part of a strong Kenyan contingent that also included Corazone Aquino, Fasila Adhiambo, Elizabeth Wambui, Ruth Ingotsi and Cynthia Shilwatso.
