Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado and two co-accused will know their fate in the Sharon Otieno murder case on May 29, 2026.

In the case, Obado is charged alongside his former personal assistant, Michael Oyamo and county clerk Caspal Obiero.

The matter was mentioned on Wednesday before Lady Justice Cecilia Githua, who confirmed that the judgment will be delivered on the scheduled date.

Githua further directed that all the accused persons must be physically present in court at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the ruling.

The High Court on Wednesday set the date for the delivery of judgment in the high-profile case, where the three are charged with the murder of Sharon. The slain University student was expectant when her lifeless body was found in a thicket in September 2018.

The trio was earlier charged with the murder of Sharon’s 28-week-old unborn baby, but were acquitted due to insufficient evidence to support a separate murder charge.
