Shabana FC
head coach Sammy Okoth has hailed his charges for their 4-0 demolition of
struggling Coastal Heroes at Gusii Stadium on Sunday.
That
emphatic result saw the National Super League (NSL) leaders reopen a six-point
lead over their closest Murang’a Seal who have a game in hand.
Okoth has urged
the team to make their home ground a fortress that will anchor their title bid
with seven matches remaining before the end of the season.
“I am
impressed with how we have played because it has underlined our desire to stay
at the top. We will approach every match to collect all the points on offer
because that is the only way we will win the title at the end of the season.
“Our success
this season has been helped by having our matches at home. We will approach
each match as a final with seven rounds to go.”
Murang’a
Seal kept the pressure on Shabana with a resounding 5-0 victory against Vihiga
United at the St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a.
