Several residents of Kithino, Chiakariga Ward, in Kitui county, were left homeless on Wednesday after heavy rains left a trail of destruction.
According to locals, the rains started on Wednesday night, and by morning, the village was in ruins.
Many houses were brought down by falling trees, leaving families without shelter.
There were no injuries.
Residents have called on the county leadership to step in and provide urgent assistance.
