The shop-in-shop outlet, established in partnership with Maureen Mutua and Mutua Ndungi, will give customers access to Samsung’s smartphone range and assistance in choosing devices suited to their needs and budgets.
The company said the opening forms part of its efforts to reach more consumers across the country and strengthen its presence in regional markets.
Brenda Nakhulo Khaimia, Marketing Manager for the Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa, said the investment reflects the different needs of consumers across Kenya.
“Kenya’s markets are diverse, and our retail strategy must reflect the needs of the consumers we serve. Kitui is an important market within the region, and establishing a Samsung SIS here allows us to engage more directly with consumers and understand what matters to them,” she said.
Kitui town serves as a commercial and public services centre for a county whose economic activities include agriculture, trade and small-scale enterprise.
Samsung said the outlet will serve consumers with varied technology needs, including entrepreneurs using smartphones to engage customers, promote products and manage daily business operations.
Customers visiting the store will be able to explore different devices and receive guidance on their features before making purchasing decisions.
“As we grow our presence across Kenya, we want more consumers to experience our products first-hand and discover how they can support their individual needs and ambitions,” Khaimia said.
