Sakaja nominates legendary producer Clemo for Nairobi Chief Officer post

Celebrated music producer Clement Rapudo Sijenyi, alias Clemo, is among the 33 County Chief Officer nominees picked by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja on Tuesday.

According to a notice published on Wednesday in the local dailies, Clemo has been nominated to the City Culture, Arts and Tourism docket.

With a career spanning decades in the entertainment industry, Clemo is a big-time producer in the Genge music and is the co-founder of Calif Records.

The 42-year-old has worked with notable names in the Kenyan music scene, such as Juacali and Nonini.

He is set to appear before Culture and Community Services Committee on Thursday, December 22, for vetting.

Former Mombasa County Chief Officer for Tourism Asha Abdi has also been nominated to the Finance docket.
