Residents of Booster Uhuru village in Tumaini ward, Nyandarua County have protested poor workmanship on a two-kilometer road in the area.
The residents took to the streets, calling on the Nyandarua County government to order the contractor to repair the road.
They said this will ensure the smooth transportation of their farm produce to the market.
The village is one of the areas that are rich in agriculture within Olkalou constituency, and is known for dairy production and various types of horticultural crops.
Locals pointed out that the contractor used cut stones from machines to repair the road instead of hard stones, which they consider a misuse of public funds.
Farmers stated that the cost of production has increased due to the poor condition of the roads.
