Raila joins Maasai leaders in fight over alleged invasion of Ilmashariani land in Narok

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has joined a section of Maasai leaders in defending alleged illegal investment on their 580 acres of ancestral land at Ilmashariani area in Narok North.

Speaking during a housewarming of the nominated senator and National vice chair ODM Christine Lemein, Odinga revealed that by land subdivision locals shall end up being squatters but reminded that any investor shall follow due process through public participation with agreed compensation.

Odinga reminding the Nation ahead of tomorrow’s mega climate change summit in Nairobi that must concentrate on protection of water sources such as Mau complex which he reminded that he had to risk his political ambition on.

He lashed at President Ruto for reversing the moratorium order saying it was jeopardizing his campaigning tree planting exercise on Kenyans further alleging a re-encroachment of the Maasai Mau forest by former evictees.

His sentiments were echoed by Eugene Wamalwa who steered off allegations by a section of the media that Kalonzo Musyoka had agreed that they had agreed on any forms of legitimacy away from ongoing plan talks.

Former Narok North MP and staunch ODM leader Moitalel Ole Kenta who lost in last year’s August Gubernatorial Elections assured Raila that the Maa community shall fully remain with Raila as he vowed to lead protests against any planned launch of the said projects at ilmashariani’s community land.
