Police in Makueni County have launched investigations after a human male genital organ was discovered dumped at Kiongwani area along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

According to a police report, officers on routine patrol received information from members of the public about a suspected human body part that had been sighted near the roadside.

Officers from Sultan Hamud Police Station, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mukaa, visited the scene and recovered what was confirmed to be a human penis believed to belong to an unidentified male.

Preliminary investigations suggest the body part may have been severed at a different location before being dumped at Kiongwani.

The scene was processed by investigators and the organ was moved to Sultan Hamud Sub County Hospital Mortuary for preservation pending identification and further investigations.

The incident has raised questions among residents, with police noting that no case of a person having been mutilated or cut in the area has so far been reported.

Detectives from DCI Mukaa are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and seeking to establish the identity of the victim.
