Police officer killed in bodaboda accident in Kajiado

A police officer died on the spot after the motorbike he was riding collided head-on with another in the Ilasita area of Kajiado South, leaving two other people injured.

Confirming the incident, Loitokitok Sub-County Police Commander Kiprotich Chepkwony said the officer, who was attached to Ilasit Police Post, was heading to the local market with a colleague after work when the accident occurred.

“They were on their way to the market to have their evening meal before tragedy struck,” Chepkwony told Citizen Digital.

The officer’s body was taken to Loitokitok Level 4 Hospital mortuary, while the two survivors are receiving treatment at the same facility for multiple injuries.

Chepkwony cautioned motorcyclists against riding under the influence of alcohol, noting that one of the civilian riders involved appeared to be intoxicated.
