Safari Rally driver Maxine Wahome may face murder charges over the death of rally driver Asad Khan.

Maxine, who was presented in court on Thursday, had been charged with causing grievous harm to late Khan, in a scuffle last month.

However, following the death of Khan, the investigating officer requested for more time to conduct investigations, stating that the circumstances of the case had changed from that of causing grievous harm, to murder.

The court granted the investigating officer 14 days to conclude investigations.

Maxine was arrested on December 12 and detained at Kilimani Police Station, after a report of the assault was reported by Adil Khan, Asad's younger brother.

The court has directed that she continues to report to the Investigating officer, every Thursday for the next two weeks, until the next mentioning of the case which was slated for 30th of this month.
