The Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 powered by ADNOC officially kicked off  on Thursday in Abu Dhabi, with Phygital football delivering an action-packed start at the ADNEC Centre.

With a massive $600,000 prize pool, the competition is set to be fierce as teams from around the world battle it out for supremacy in this innovative blend of physical and digital sports.

The opening match saw UEL TEAM 3 and Granny Smith locked in an intense battle, finishing in a 3-3 draw. Both sides showcased strong performances but ultimately couldn’t outdo each other, sharing the spoils.

Mexico Quetzales made their mark with a dominant 4-2 win over Red Moon, while Peñarol edged past Z10 with a narrow 7-6 victory. RFSO Lokomotiv showed off their seamless teamwork in a 4-0 triumph over United FC, while La Crema comfortably defeated CM Stars 2-0.

Trancos were also impressive, overcoming CD Holcatters 5-2, while FC Whitebird shocked E7 with a surprising 3-0 win. CM Jardim narrowly beat Canada Shield 4-3 in another thrilling contest.

With more matches set to take place across all eleven disciplines, the Games of the Future 2025 are off to an exciting start, promising even more jaw-dropping moments as teams compete for the grand prize.
