Outrage as 3 brothers brutally assault pregnant sister for rejecting their 'preferred' husband

A video circulating on social media has sparked online outrage after showing a young pregnant woman being brutally assaulted by three men armed with sticks in Nkareta, Narok North.

Reports indicate that the victim, identified as Lepeita, was attacked by her own brothers after she chose to marry a man they disapproved of. Instead, they attempted to force her into marrying another man from a family of their choosing.

In the video, Lepeita is seen helplessly enduring the assault as her mother desperately pleads with the men to spare her — but her appeals fall on deaf ears.

Sources indicate that police are pursuing the three suspects, while the victim is receiving treatment at Narok County Referral Hospital.

Narok County MP Rebecca Tonkei and County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia have both condemned the attack in the strongest terms, urging justice for the victim and protection of women’s rights.
