The united opposition says it will teach President William Ruto a lesson in the 2027 presidential contest, that will be preceded by results from the upcoming by-elections.

Responding to the Head of State's dismissal of the opposition’s capability to beat him in the next general elections, the leaders accused President Ruto of re-cycling projects in western region, in an attempt to woo the Mulembe nation.

Led by DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa and DCP deputy party leader Cleophas Malala, the opposition leaders responded to President Ruto’s dismissal of the opposition by stating that they will humiliate him and his party through the outcome of the upcoming by-elections as well as the 2027 polls.

“Ulisikia vile ametudharau? Sisi tunamwambia kwamba tutamuonyesha cha mtema kuni kwenye uchaguzi zijazo,” Wamalwa stated.

Wamalwa said the Mulembe nation will overwhemingly send President Ruto's administration packing.

“Sasa watu wa Mulembe wamechanuka, hakuna mjinga...tumeshaaamua kwamba hatutaruhusu tudangwanywe tena,” said the DAP-K boss.

The opposition leaders criticised the President for what they said is re-launching projects in the region that had already been launched.

“Amekuja ku launch the same same barabara ambayo tayari ali launch upande mwingine,” said Malala.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale stated: “Yeye anasahau kwamba tulikuwa na Malala wakati yeye ali launch barabara hiyo hiyo.”

The leaders rallied the constituents of Malava to vote for the DAP-K candidate Seth Panyako, who has received backing from DCP's candidate Edgar Busiega who dropped out of the race.
