Only Linda Mwananchi movement can liberate Kenya in 2027 - Kang'ata

Speaking in Kisii on Friday morning before the movement's scheduled rally in the county, Kang'ata said the Linda Mwananchi team led by Senators Edwin Sifuna, James Orengo, MP Babu Owino among others is committed to uniting the country and building institutions that serve all Kenyans.

"The only political faction that is national is Linda Mwananchi. And that's an ideal that our fore fathers have been unable to achieve since independence. We believe in 2027 Linda Mwananchi is going to acheive thta dream of a unified Kenya

He said that if elected to power, the movement would ensure free education for all learners and establish an efficient healthcare system that guarantees quality services to citizens.

Kang'ata also criticized the current administration over the Housing Levy, alleging that Kenyans are being unfairly burdened through deductions that have not translated into tangible benefits for ordinary citizens.

On governance and human rights, the governor condemned the recent cases of alleged abductions and extrajudicial killings, saying such incidents undermine the democratic gains fought for by veteran leaders such as George Moseti Anyona, Kenneth Matiba, and Charles Rubia.

He urged the youth and all supporters expected to attend the Linda Mwananchi tour in Kisii to remain peaceful and exercise restraint throughout the day's activities.

"Let us unite. Let us be one. We want every Kenyan to feel part of this movement... Ours is not a violent movement we are just exercising freedoms and that is one of the areas where the government should improve on. We must support democracy...," said Kang'ata.

The Linda Mwananchi tour is expected to bring together opposition leaders as they continue mobilizing support ahead of the 2027 elections.

The moevement is set to take its grassroots mobilisation campaign to the Gusii region on Friday with a series of political rallies in Kisii and Nyamira counties.
