One police officer shot dead, two injured in Nakuru gang attack

Three police officers were on Monday shot by armed gangs during a patrol at Free Area, Nakuru town.
One officer from Bondeni police station died while the other two were injured during thE night attack by the unknown gang. The two are receiving treatment at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital.
Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara told Citizen Digital that four suspects were arrested by Monday morning, and an AK-47 was recovered.
“It was recovered in bondeni and there was someone with a kiosk who kept it there,” said Kibaara.
Police are still pursuing other leads to get others working with the criminals.
Recently, four civilians, including an Mpesa vendor have been killed by the criminal gangs in Nakuru.
Kibaara urged members of the public to be vigilant and report any unusual activity to police.
