Officer dies, another injured after attack on KWS police quarters

One police officer was shot dead and another injured after an attack on KWS police quarter in Oldonyiro, Isiolo County. 

Four riffles and several round of ammunitions were stolen by the bandits who attacked the police quarter on Saturday night.

According to Isiolo county police commander Hassan Barua, the bandits broke into the armory and stole the arms after shooting the officers.

He said one firearm has already been recovered and three suspects arrested.

Barua warned the criminals that they will be arrested and the remaining firearms recovered.

Isiolo county commissioner Geoffrey Omoding asked police to be more keen and not creating opportunities for the criminals to steal and kill them, adding that perpetrators will be caught alive or dead.
