Nyandarua: Residents protest against poor state of road

Residents of Ndunyu Njeru in Kinangop, Nyandarua County, took it to the streets on Wednesday, to protest against what they describe as prolonged roadworks that have left sections of the route impassable.
They called for the contractor to provide an alternative route, especially for vehicles carrying heavy loads.
Work on Ndunyu Njeru-Geta road, which residents say has been under construction for almost six months, has forced drivers to seek longer alternative routes, which has caused inconveniences.
Pedestrians have also complained about the road being impassable.
The residents have urged the contractor to create a diversion to allow vehicles to pass.
