Nyandarua man guilty of defiling girl, 15, sentenced to life in prison

A man from Nyandarua has been sentenced to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling a 15-year-old girl.
Engineer Chief Magistrate L. Atamba made the ruling on Thursday.
David Kimani Njuguna was also sentenced to 40 years imprisonment on two other counts of causing grievous harm to the girl and another boy aged 3.
While delivering the ruling, Atamba stated that evidence presented before the court proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused person committed the offence on 27th May 2024 at Matura village in Magumu location Nyandarua county.
Kimani, who was a neighbour, committed the offence when the victims were in a grazing field.
He also faces charges in another case where he is accused of killing Brian Kinyua, aged 2 years. Judgment in the matter is set for April.
