Murang’a university student arrested for allegedly killing girlfriend’s son

Police in Murang’a County are presently holding a university student suspected to have killed his girlfriend’s three-year old son and dumped the body in a thicket near Murang’a Prison.
The suspect, Festus Maina Nyambura, is a third year student of Criminology at the Murang’a University of Technology.
His girlfriend, a non-student who resides in the area, has also been arrested and is in police custody.
According to sources who spoke to Citizen Digital, the two have been dating for a while but the boy was reportedly not aware that his lover had a son from a previous relationship.
The couple is set to be arraigned at Murang’a Law Courts on Monday.
