Mother and children hospitalised after hit-and-run accident in Makueni

A woman and her children are currently receiving treatment at Matuu Level Four Hospital after being knocked down by a hit-and-run vehicle at Kikumini Market along the Kanyonyo–Embu Road.

According to Masinga Central Administrator John Malonza, the double-cabin vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene but was later intercepted at Kivaa Market.

The vehicle has since been taken to Kikumini Police Station as investigations continue.
