Moses Kuria: President Ruto will be re-elected without any votes from Mt. Kenya

According to the former CS, President Ruto's dominance in other electoral blocs around the country have established a guaranteed victory for him and a low voter support in Mt Kenya will still guarantee him a second presidency.

"The president is going to be re-elected without a single vote from Mt.Kenya region. If he wins the same 13% that he won in Ol Kalou it can only be a bonus. Figures don't lie," he said on Citizen TV's Sunday Live show.

"If the president gets a 13% of Mt.Kenya its a very big win for him.It's more than he needs."

He belives that President Ruto has a solid support in four key blocs while three other blocs share an evenly-divided likening for the Head of State.

"In my experience, he has the Coastal block, North-Eastern, Kamatusa (Kalengin, Maasai, Tukrana, Samburu) and the Luo Nyanza. The likehoold for him to lose votes from these regions is very low," he said.

Kuria opined that President Ruto also has significant support in the regions of Mt.Kenya West, Lower Eastern region (Ukambani) and Kisii.

He added that the increased voter registration numbers recorded by the Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will fully bloster President Ruto's second attempt at the presidency.

The president's dominance at the Mt.Kenya region — one of Kenya's most defining electoral number strongholds  — has been thrown into doubt after the opposition set to upset his prominence among supporters.

This has been recently seen in the Ol Kalou by-elections, where Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) suffered a loss to Rigathi Gachagua's Democracy of Citizens Party (DCP).
