Man strangles 9-month-old daughter to death, slits her throat in Kitui

A middle-aged man is on the run after allegedly killing his nine-month-old daughter at Ikanga Market in Mutomo sub-county, Kitui County, on Wednesday night.
According to Ikanga Location Chief Onesmus Mutaula, the suspect is believed to have had a domestic dispute with his wife before strangling the child. He then reportedly slit his daughter's throat with a kitchen knife and dumped her body in a pit latrine.
Police at Ikanga Police Station have launched investigations into the incident. The infant's body has been moved to Mutomo Level Four Hospital morgue.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
