The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) women's basketball team continued its dominant run in the National Women's Basketball Premier League with another successful weekend, a feat head coach Samuel Ocholla attributes to discipline, preparation and attention to detail.

The Dockers secured two convincing victories over the weekend, defeating Strathmore Swords 79-52 on Saturday before overcoming Lady Titans 71-54 to maintain their perfect record.

Speaking after the wins, Ocholla praised his players for their commitment to executing the team's game plan and understanding their individual responsibilities.

"It has been another successful weekend for KPA. Discipline, preparation and attention to detail were key. Every player knew what she was supposed to do and understood her role within the team. That is what helped us and propelled us to these two wins over the weekend," said Ocholla.

Despite the positive results, the soft-spoken coach insists the team is far from satisfied and remains focused on improving.

"We continue to build and improve as a team. We will keep working on our strengths while also addressing the small mistakes and identifying areas that need improvement, especially on the offensive end," he added.

Ocholla noted that while KPA's consistency has been encouraging, the technical bench is keen on ensuring the team continues to evolve as the season progresses.

The latest victories extended KPA's strong run and underlined their status as one of the favourites for this season's title. The wins saw the Dockers maintain their unbeaten streak and remain firmly at the top of the standings with 24 points from 12 matches played so far.

KPA will now shift their focus to next weekend's fixture against Eldonets Ladies in Mombasa, where they will be aiming to extend their winning run and strengthen their grip on the league summit.
