Kitui: Man hacked to death in suspected land tussle

A
47-year-old man from Mung’ang’a, Miambani in Kitui County died on Sunday while
receiving treatment for machete cuts he sustained during a suspected land
tussle.
According
to the area chief Muthoka Kilonzo, the man was being treated at the Kitui Level 4 Hospital,
where he was rushed by his family members.
“He cried for help but by the time his family arrived at the house, he had been attacked and the perpetrators fled,” the chief said.
Three suspects were arrested as a probe into the circumstances of the attack got underway.
"We suspected the attack is linked to a land tussle but we are investigating and urge members of the community to help us with any information they might have," added the chief.
