Kilifi: Police in Mtwapa rally boda boda riders in anti-crime campaign

Security officials in Mtwapa have stepped up efforts to combat crime by launching a public awareness campaign targeting boda boda operators on security and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

The exercise was led by Mtwapa Police Station OCS Chris Nyamawi, accompanied by the area chief and assistant chief.

The team met riders at the Kwa Chief, Mzambaruni and National Bank boda boda stages.

Nyamawi urged the operators to prioritise their personal safety, report criminal activities to the police and avoid associating with criminals.

He also called on all riders to register through their respective boda boda stages to enhance accountability and support crime prevention.

About 200 boda boda operators attended the meetings and pledged to work closely with police to improve security in Mtwapa.
