Kenyans online make fun of new police uniform

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday unveiled new police uniform for the General Duty officers.
In the new changes, the President said the Persian-blue shirt/blouse, trousers and beret are for better “visibility”.
“It’s important for everybody and especially the police officers to know that the Kenyan people are funding these changes so that the police can serve the people better,” President Uhuru Kenyatta said.
He further added that the police should be respected and not feared.
However, a section of Kenyans online criticised the choice of colour and design of the police uniform with some saying it looked “dull and old fashioned”.
